Glendon Rusch

Left-handed pitcher GLENDON RUSCH will throw a bullpen for Major League organizations this Friday, November 2, at 11:30 AM at West Coast Sports Management's facility in Pasadena, CA (369 South Fair Oaks Avenue, Pasadena, CA 91105).

Rusch is an unrestricted free agent and able to discuss contract now. He will pitch the entire 2008 season at 33 years old (birth date is 11/7/74). Glendon broke into the Major League in 1997 with the Kansas City Royals, and has also played for the New York Mets, Milwaukee Brewers, and Chicago Cubs in his 10-year career. He can either start or relieve, and has 296 career appearances, 211 as a starter. Rusch has allowed just one run in his six post-season appearances. Rusch missed the 2007 season as a result of suffering a pulmonary embolism (a blood clot in his lung) in mid-September, 2006. He has been completely cleared to resume his playing career and has been throwing without restrictions for nearly two months. Glendon will provide complete, up-to-date medical information if requested.
